Dr. Susan R. Carter is a board certified ophthalmologist and specialty trained oculofacial plastic surgeon. She specializes in aesthetic surgery of the eyelids, reconstructive procedures, and nonsurgical treatments such as Botox™ and fillers for facial rejuvenation. Upper lid blepharoplasty

The heavy excess skin and fat of the upper eyelid can be removed through an incision in the natural crease of the lid to provide a more youthful, rested appearance.

Lower Lid Blepharoplasty

The fat puffiness below the eye can be surgically removed through a small incision on the back surface of the eyelid. No skin incision is made and healing is more rapid. The excess skin of the lower eyelids can be removed and lifted in combination with removal of fat bulging to give a more smooth appearance of the lower lid.

Upper & Lower Lid Blepharoplasty

Cosmetic Ptosis Repair

When the opening for the eyelid is slightly narrowed, a repair of the ptosis or droopy lid can be performed through a skin incision or through an incision behind the eyelid to give the eyes a more open, awake appearance.
